“I congratulate everyone folks whom God has spared to ascertain this New Year within the midst of the dreadful and devastating coronavirus that ravaged our world and sent many of us to early graves quite any war within the recent past. The high and therefore the low really fell in 2020. While we again commiserate with those that lost their loved ones and pray for fortitude for them in touch the loss, it's right for the remainder folks to mention , ‘to God alone be the glory.’ My prayer is that, the God of mercy who showed us mercy in 2020 shall still show us mercy during this New Year in Jesus’ name.
I may not know the challenges that you simply could also be during this year but i do know that the simplest thanks to overcome the challenges of this year without losing anything is to dwell within the ‘Secret Place of the foremost High.’ This would cause us to abide under the shadow of the Almighty always consistent with Psalm 91, beginning from verse one. the entire Psalm is acceptable as our watchword to beat all challenges of the year.
I was reading within the newspaper the statement of Gates who said that he couldn't explain why COVID-19 mortality was low in Africa generally where healthcare was poorer than the Developed World. The right answer is that dwelling within the secret place of the foremost High saved Africa. We are technologically poor but we believe we've an enormous and great God whom we will trust, whom we will run to His secret place and abide under His shadow.
The mercy of God made the difference in Africa, especially Nigeria where health experts predicted that 30 million people would die. I am not saying that the advanced nations of the planet don't believe God but that our own lack of human strength, lack of health infrastructure (though not our pride), have made us to trust in God quite human science and technology. The mercy of God has preserved us and can still preserve us all the times of our lives within the name of Jesus .
The secret place of the foremost High is just like the VIP lounge where important people stay within the airport. it's different from the common lounge where other travellers stay. it's equipped with better chairs for max comfort and with other services making waiting at the airport easier . Dwelling within the ‘Secret Place of the foremost High’ to beat all challenges of this year means, to constantly love God by becoming closer to him in daily communion. To cultivate a life-style of fervent prayers for all things before taking any decision or doing anything. it's to review the Word of God daily, to constantly be within the fellowship of God’s people and forsaking all bad gangs or terrorist groups. it's to run faraway from the lifetime of sin and abide by faith on day to day for daily victory.
Dwelling within the secret place of the foremost High requires that we trust within the Lord with our whole heart without seeking lesser gods. If we do these, all the guarantees of protection, provision, elevation, long life and each other good thing would be our portion within the name of Jesus . I plead with all folks to please observe all the COVID-19 protocols this year. Maintain social distancing, do hand washing or use sanitizer. confirm you usually wear your mask whenever you're out from your house until we all at once , under God, wipe off this wicked virus from the face of the world . Avoid frivolous traveling meanwhile and use virtual meetings where possible for your safety.
I urge all those in political power in our nation to steer with humility by taking note of Godly admonition because their wisdom alone might not be enough to reposition our nation, especially, to revive our security and convey about peace and prosperity presently eluding our nation. this spate of kidnappings for ransom or death, terrorism, banditry, herdsmen attack, heist and other anti-social activities in our nation are dents on the leadership of our nation. Though, we understand that leadership is hard and feel for those in power, Nigerians at an equivalent time expect that leadership would rise more gallantly to deal with our near horrible socio-economic situation during this nation which is nearly crippling us. allow us to love each other and put an end to cruelty against each other under any guise. Nigerians need to have their remainder of mind.
On behalf of Christian Association of Nigeria, I wish everyone during this nation a cheerful , Prosperous and COVID-19 free New Year 2021
in Jesus’ name.”
